“Shia Islam” is a multi-volume study to provide a sound overview about Shia Islam. It presents the thinking, the Quranic exegesis, the history, the beliefs and the practice of faith of the Imamites world community. The purpose of these collections about “Shia studies” is to produce literature and provide Shia fields of research, so that scholars can write articles and books based on these writings and present scientific and academic re-search. In fact, this collection is a roadmap to the desired goal, namely: a proper under-standing of Shiite beliefs, thoughts, interpretation and history.
This volume treated Shia Islam as a religious phenomenon and focuses on some brief thought and belief. The content of this volume is seen as a contribution to the discourse on Shia thinking in general and on the position of Shia worldview in Europe in particular. Of special interest is the teachings of Shia beliefs in universities and colleges. The aim of this study is to provide thinking impulses for broadening one’s horizon, which leads to fur-ther encounters with the Shiite worldview and what is reflected in it. It therefore intended to present the main ideas and main characteristics of Shiite thought and faith in a trans-parent and understandable manner for the current Western generation - and especially for academic readers. It would like to provide the reader with current information on key topics of the Islamic religion, in order to be able to deal with European and non-European Shiites without misunderstandings and prejudices.
