ILogos: “International Publisher of Shiite Scientific Discourse.”
This publishing house was registered in Vienna in 2018. Since until then no publishing house was responsible for the publication of Shiite scientific teachings in German or focused on scientific works, the establishment of a Shiite publishing institute was necessary. This publishing house is responsible for the scientific authority of Schia-Islam.
“Ilogos” is the organ of the discourse of Shiite thought and faith in academic fields, based on the explanation of the teachings of the Quran and the Ahl-ul-Bait (a).
The efforts of this publishing house are focused on publishing works that are up-to-date and in accordance with international scientific standards and in line with the needs of professors, scientists and students to assist them in teaching, writing textbooks, dissertations and other scientific work.
Shiite scientific discourse focuses on the following areas.
- Phenomenology.
- Doctrine of faith.
- Practice of faith.
- Shiite thinking.
- History.
- Quranic commentary.
- Hermeneutics.
- Nonviolence.
On the one hand, there is an opportunity to publish Shia Islam in order to respond to the needs of Western countries. On the other hand, the needs of Muslims and especially those of Shiites can also be adequately addressed. Because we have different Shiite groups of different ethnicities and nationalities that have been neglected or ignored by academics and universities, this is causing an identity crisis for our youth.
But the scientific treatment of Shiite thought and faith in the academic arena formally gives our young people a new identity and strengthens them in their faith. The publication and compilation of Shiite beliefs and thoughts in the form of books is actually a great help for Western countries, as these publications both actualize Shiite Islam in the lives of the Shiites and complete their morality and make its teachings available to Western youth in scientific language and, of course, non-violent.
Furthermore, this is a service to countries where Muslims live because they no longer have to pay extra for the publication of Shiite books. Moreover, Europeans are enriched because they now have authentic books about Shia Islam that they can read with pleasure.
The Shiite collections, published by this publishing house, are the result of decades of continuous scientific efforts (research, teaching and editing), which are mainly taught at German-speaking universities (Austria, Switzerland and Germany), have been discussed and critically treated and are now being dedicated to readers with further footnotes and comments. It is hoped that these works will pave the way for English-speaking readers to familiarize themselves with the teachings of the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bait (a) so that they will be rewarded for their years of waiting with reliable and academic reading on Schia Islam.
