Der Schia-Islam 6. Theologisches Denken (2. Aufl.)
Volume 6, as a presentation of Shiite theological thought, has a rational streak and is imbued with the spiritual soul. This is another step towards “Shia Islam”, and it puts the Shiite monotheistic view up for discussion in order to make known Shia thought and faith and its other specific characteristics. The consequence of the en-counter with the Shiite monotheistic view is a plausible faith that connects people with the Creator and leads them to a strong love. In this sense, we read the following in the Holy Quran: “Those who believe are strongest in the love of God.”
This study presents the Shiite monotheistic view in the form of pithy treatises, and gives it a concise expression. The value of this study is most evident in the fact that it still makes a deep impression on every educated religious reader today and has found its admirers and enthusiasts, especially among non-Muslims.
There are different ways of self-realization, but we believe that the best kind of self-realization is through the encounter with God and through the monotheistic view , because, as Prophet Muhammad (s) said, it enlivens man by this: “The parable of the one who remembers Allah and the one who does not remember Allah is like the like-ness of the living and the dead.”
The Shiite monotheistic view makes it clear that the deepest nature of God is love and that he wants to take us humans into his care and reconcile them with himself. God is not only the Universal Merciful, but the gracious, saving, and loving Creator on whom His lovers can rely on, because “they love Him and He loves them.”
Here we are not talking about the creature and creator, but simply about the lover and beloved! What is most important for a believer and is at the top of his longings is neither fear of hell nor hope for paradise or worldly gifts, but the encounter and wor-ship out of love, i.e., because one knows the adored one correctly and considers him to be most worthy of adoration, one believes in him out of love and worships Him.
This study is a humble endeavor in search of a solid and accurate knowledge that will bring us closer to our Lord and lead us to the path of salvation and the bliss in this life and in hereafter. The monotheistic view strengthens believers on the path of non-violent faith. This path brings the believers to an important point in the realization that they are appropriating the place of the wilaya and becoming friends of God. In the light of the Wilayah, all the teachings and praiseworthy actions of a servant of Allah become divine: doctrine, practice of faith, morality, economy, politics and thought.
The vocation of the righteous friends of God and the Shiite thinking are based on the above-mentioned word of the Quran, and from it they produce its fruits at all times, through:
- the plausible and constant thought of God.
- the dynamic principles of truth.
- understanding the Quran.
- cosmological, anthropological, angelological and eschatological thought.
- the physico-theological arguments.
