Volume 10 deals with the topic “Imama and Wilaya”. Shia Islam is the path of Imama and Wilaya – and this study presents the fruits of these wonderful concepts. Imama and Wilaya have a deep impression on every people, especially on educated religious readers, and have found their admirers especially among non-Muslims. This path leads the believers to an important point in the realization that they  will attain  the state of Wilaya and become friends of God. In the light of Wilaya and Imama, all teachings and praiseworthy deeds of a servant of Allah become divine! Just like the prophets, the Imams are infallible both in their private lives and in their doctrinal decisions.

If we ask about Shia Islam in Europe today, we find that in many countries there is hardly any suitable knowledge about it - and nothing at all about ”Imama and Wilaya”!

The Shiite monotheistic worldview is based on two words: 1. The “Word of Tauhid”. 2. Wilaya! The symbol of the Tauhid is ”Kalimah at-Tauhid”, namely “La ilaha illa Allah” (there is no god but Allah). This word is so important that the Blessed Creator says the following about it: “It is my firm (and protective) fortress. And everyone who enters my protective castle is spared from my punishment.” (…)

God gives Wilaya to the believers so that they can get out of the world of darkness: ”Allah is the Wali (guardian, friend, protector) of the believers - He brings them out of the darkness into the light. But the Wali of unbelievers is the Taghut (false gods and tyrannical rulers) who lead them out of the light into darkness ... (…)

This Wilayatullah was given to those who are infallible and pure, i.e., the righteous men of God: “Verily, your Wali is only Allah, His Messenger and the believers who, while bowing (ruku), establish prayer and give alms (to the beggar) and worship God alone.” (…)

Yes, Islam is the religion of monotheism that descended on the people through the Prophet Muhammad (s). People who believed in the last religion (Islam) were brought to the castle of Allah and are protected from God’s punishment. But on the condition that they also join the Wilaya of Ahl-ul-Bait.

In this sense, Imam Ridha said: “I heard Gabriel say: ‘I heard God of glory say’, The word ‘La ilaha illa Allah’ is my (strong) castle, and whoever enters my (fixed) castle is safe from my torments.”

Then he said loudly to those present: “But it has conditions, and I am (as a Wali) one of the conditions for this!” (…) The Imam says: If a person wants to enter God’s Wilaya, he should know that one of the conditions for doing so is to accept my Wilaya!

Imam Reza believes that the Imama of all Infallibles (from Prophet Muhammad to Imam Mahdi) is the prerequisite for God’s Wilaya. This is the reason why the Wilaya of Imam Ali, like the Wilaya of God, is called the Divine Fortress. That is, Wilaya and Imama are side by side, and indeed they are one! For this reason, God Almighty says: “Wilaya of Ali ibn Abi-Talib is my stronghold. And everyone who enters my (protective) castle will be spared from my punishment!”
