Volume 1 (Phenomenology) deals with Shiite thought and its position in Europe. A fundamental motivation is to raise awareness of the practice of tolerance in the sense of mutual sympathy and recognition.

This study aims to motivate people to think. In this sense, Prophet Muhammad (s) said, “One hour of reflection is better than seventy years of worship,” as free reflection leads to the revival of the soul. I hope that the encounter with the doctrine of Shia Islam will awaken and revive some souls. In the Quranic sense, it has been stated: “Whoever kills a soul unjustly is as if he had killed the whole of humanity, and whoever saves it is as if he had preserved the life of all mankind.”

With the help of the original texts of the Quran and the Sunnah, this book series aims to present the mainstream of the Shiite faith and its topics in these contextual areas in a more transparent way. Therefore, methodically this study aims to follow the mainstream of Shia faith and thought, present its characteristics in a transparent and understandable way, and provide evidence:

• in the Quran.
• in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s).
• in the school of Ahl-ul-Bayt (s).
• by the logic of reason.

In this volume, Shia Islam is treated as a religious phenomenon and focuses on some brief thought impulses on Shiite thought and faith. A fundamental motivation of this volume is therefore its concern to sensitize people to an open understanding and spaces of mutual tolerance recognition.
